March 15 until 17 sees Circular Road go car free and green for its annual St Patrick’s Day street festival. Presented by Singapore River One and sponsored by official beer Guinness, it’s a spectacular event that incorporates street performances, gallons of the back stuff and venues Mogambo, Hero’s, Molly Malone’s Irish pub, Meat and Green, The Mask and The Merry Lion. Sunday March 17 will also see the return of the St Patrick’s Day parade, starting at 2.30pm from Empress Lawn.
There’s nothing quite as vibrant as a street party, add the national Irish day of St Patrick, lashings of cold Guinness and a sea of green and it turns into something unforgettable. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather your crew and enjoy a day out in one of Singapore’s liveliest areas. With a selection of bars and restaurants on the street also joining in the fun, there are plenty of options. From the outdoor stages featuring traditional dance and music to live performances within the numerus establishments on Circular road, it’s a great chance to see what all the fuss is about the St Patrick’s day celebrations that spark gatherings all over the world.
Whether you want to enjoy performances from Irish dancers, hear traditional folk songs, follow the pipers in the parade, enjoy a pint of Guinness or just soak up the electric atmosphere on the street, march 15-17 on Circular Road is where you need to be. Grab your friends, remember to embrace the green dress code and add to the spectacle and get set for an experience you will never forget!
