Singapore Zoo

Singapore is not a typical zoo, opened in 1973, the animals enjoy a beautiful wildlife park setting where they are free to roam in open and natural habitats. The 26-hectare site, located in the Mandai rainforest, stretches into the amazing Upper Seletar reservoir, providing ample space for more than 2,800 animals representing more than 300 species of mammals, birds and reptiles. It’s a stunning day out and one that has something for all the family, with a multitude of amazing sights to see and some unforgettable experiences to enjoy, rom feeding the Giraffes to sharing breakfast with wildlife. Walk through the Fragile Forest or travel onboard a guided tam into the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia.

Priding itself on its care and attention to detail to make the animals as comfortable and at home, Singapore is a learning zoo, where giving the guest an understanding of the animals at a deeper level is high on the agenda. Keen to preserve biodiversity, Singapore Zoo has an extensive wildlife research programme, and its successful animal breeding programme has seen the births of endangered species increase year on year. There are numerous shows to interact with, one of the most popular being the Elephants at Work and Play show, which is a popular family attraction, giving guests the chance witness the zoo residents at their most active during a feeding session. The zoo is a family attraction and with the Rainforest Kidzone specifically designed for the young ones, they can enjoy a fun tine splashing around the wet play area, riding ponies and learning in the enriched zone. Over 1.6 million visitors check out the Singapore Zoo each year, make sure you join in the fun!
