I think it’s fair to say that in Singapore, we love our food! There are so many variations and cuisines to be enjoyed, from Michelin star chefs to local hawkers, from communal dining areas to stylish rooftop locations. It’s only fair that we should have a festival to celebrate this fascination and from July 14 to 30 you can ‘Savour Singapore in every bite’ at the Singapore Food Festival.
The annual festival returns, showcasing the city’s rich heritage and culture and featuring a series of local chef collaborations that will get the juices flowing. SFF brings the rich traditions of Singapore’s diverse culinary community together under one roof, giving you the chance to taste the dishes that make Singapore an exciting destination for foodies all over the world. As well as the fantastic food on show, there will be a series of events throughout the festival designed to give you a better understanding of the process behind the dishes. For those of you that like to get a little hands on, you can learn traditional recipes from master chefs who have spent their life preparing them!
The festival’s signature event, STREAT, brings chefs and hawkers together in one location for a unique culinary experience. See local chefs collaborate to offer a modern twist on some Singaporean classics and relax and enjoy live music as you sample the delicious fare on offer. This year also sees the introduction of a selection of events for art lovers, from learning the secret behind great food photography to a stunning photo exhibition on local hawkers or if you just want to tuck in to a theatrical feast. Whether you are a serious foodie or a casual observer, there is something for everyone at the Singapore Food Festival.
