Legendary Singapore live lounge Le Noir recently raised the curtain on the latest addition to its portfolio, Le Noir Marina Bay Sands. Located on the promenade in front of the Shoppes, directly opposite the unmistakable Louis Vuitton building, Le Noir Marina Bay Sands boasts a mouth-watering menu, a cocktail list to die for and some of the hottest locals bands every day of the week offering the very best live entertainment. The bands play until midnight every night of the week and until 2am Friday and Saturday, and resident DJs keep the music flowing until close. With the kitchen open until 30 mins before closing every night, there’s never a bad time to drop in and you have the added bonus of a front row seat to one of Singapore’s iconic views.
With almost a decade and a half under its belt in Clarke Quay, where Le Noir has offered locals and tourists alike a unique live music experience, not to mention a recent successful expansion into Kuala Lumpur, the group unveiled its latest offering, joining a host of world famous names on the promenade of the Shoppes. With illustrious neighbours such as Luis Vuitton and the soon-to-open Apple Asia flagship, Le Noir Marina Bay Sands is in good company but by no means intimidated! Le Noir has been at the heart of the Singapore nightlife scene for as long as we can remember, delivering a vibrant atmosphere and showcasing some of the finest local live talent.
The championing of local talent continues as Le Noir Marina Bay Sands offers two live bands Monday to Thursday playing until midnight and three live bands Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the bands playing until 2am Friday and Saturday. There are a wide variety of bands on show, from jazz on a Monday, getting your week off to a cultured start to some amazing local acoustic talent in the shape of Mmld, Marian and Killedbythecircus, some powerful diva performances from Syltra and Kali from 10 Seconds and vibrant performances from party bands such as OK Ready and Eezy, keeping the party atmosphere going late into the night. The bands deliver their own amazing interpretations on everything from Prince to Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars and Coldplay, to name just a few, as well as numerous top 40 covers and dropping some of their own fantastic productions along the way. With Mmld about to release an album and Camille Miller, a talented Canadian songstress, recording a video for her forthcoming single, you have the chance to catch the stars of the future before they make it!
It doesn’t matter which day or night you drop into Le Noir Marina Bay Sands, there is always something going on and the menu, available until 30-mins before closing, also plays a significant part. The pizza has already built a strong following with regulars dropping in for their fix, spice lovers head straight for the Diavola, and for those that live nearby, you can take advantage of its takeaway service. The menu is by no means a one trick pony however; the sesame crust tuna salad offers a healthy and delicious choice, the cheese and cold meat platter makes for the ideal afternoon snack, with a nice crisp glass of white and, for meat lovers, the wagyu burger or sausage platter is a must! The lounge boasts an extensive cocktail menu, the perfect companion for soaking in the magnificent view of the Singapore skyline as the sun eases beneath the horizon and day turns to night. The Moscow Mule is an old favourite and one that le Noir delivers to perfection but, if you want to try something a little more adventurous, the Chocolate Martini is amazing. The only thing we know is that it is vodka based, but the secret recipe is a winner! Other highlights include the Espresso Martini and a personal favourite, the Tom Yum Martini, both well worth trying. The Tom Yum, for those of you with a taste for adventure is especially naughty, available in three levels of spiciness, you can even convert it into shots and challenge your mates to see who has the best tolerance!
Le Noir Marina Bay Sands has wasted no time in making friends, with a strong mix of tourists and locals already regularly filling the new venue, the chilled daytime and lively night time vibe is proving a welcome addition to the promenade. During the day, the music is cool and lounge and Le Noir Marina Bay Sands offers the perfect spot to take a load off during your shopping trip. After the sun sets, catch Spectra, the breathtaking light show which takes place just opposite the lounge, from the comfort of your seat. From 6pm every night there is a live acoustic set and the live music continues until midnight during the week and Sunday and until 2am Friday and Saturday. The venue closes at 3am every night apart from Saturday when it closes at 4am, with resident DJs delivering the soundtrack into the early hours. Le Noir Marina Bay Sands is the perfect venue for grabbing a coffee or breakfast early doors (it opens from 11am) or meeting friends for a long lunch in the afternoon. At night, it has become a destination for lovers of live music as well as a pre-club for those heading out later to Marquee. The venue covers all angles perfectly. If you haven’t had the pleasure yet, get it in your diary, you will not be disappointed.
