Garden Beats 2019

Garden Beats Festival, the music and picnic extravaganza from respected lifestyle collective Sunshine Nation, returns to Fort Canning Green for its fifth edition on Saturday March 9 2019. This year sees the event adopt a back-to-back schedule for the first time ever and the line-up announcement has already caused quite an impact, including The Kooks, Black Coffee, Alina Baraz and a host of other world class talent for what promises to be another fantastic outdoor gathering.

The festival enjoys a large following from the electronic dance community, having delivered some ground-breaking bookings in previous years. 2019 sees it maintain that connection with South African deep beats specialist Black Coffee headlining a cast that also includes Alle Farben and Coran. For lovers of live music, UK indie legends The Kooks will take to the stage, delivering many of their huge crossover hits and for those of you that prefer your music on a laid back, sexy urban tip, Yung Bae will be supported by a host of talented Singaporean artists, including Orio, Daryl C, Toppings and Bongomann, keeping the flow moving all day and into the night.

2018 saw Garden Beats take a conscious step towards carbon neutrality, with the aim to be the first carbon-neutral music festival in the Lion City. This year sees that initiative extended further, with the complete ban of single use plastics and the introduction of bio-degradable cups and cutleries. Recycling and food composting stations will be available and there will be the introduction of Garden Beats tin cups, which will score you a discount when purchasing drinks. The festival, nestled in the lush surroundings of Fort Canning Park offers a chance to get your crew together, enjoy a unique day into night vibe, soak up some of the finest musical performances and chill.

While the musical line-up rightly grabs all the headlines, it’s not the only attraction; there are a stack of world renowned speakers to enjoy, including Kim Stengert from World Wildlife Fund, Rebecca Capelli of Let Us Be Heroes and Raye Padit of the Fashion Pulpit, to name only a few, discussing topics such as Conscious Eating, Sustainable Fashion and Journeying to zero waste & plastic free. Relax and treat yourself to a treatment in the first Garden Beats’ wellness oasis or, for those with more energy, checking out the lawn games and fun to be had in Playing Fields. Foodpanda Village offers you the chance to set out you pre-prepared feast, or turn to one of the delicious food stalls – Don Ho, Dumpling Darlings, Udders, Papi’s Tacos, Fat Prince, Kult Kafe and 25 Degrees – to keep your strength up. It promises to be anoher action packed day into night experience courtesy of Garden Beats, make sure you grab your tickets now!
