There’s nothing better than relaxing in the open air and tuning into a glorious feature film, surrounded by mates or that special person in your life and, thanks to Films At The Fort, presented by Casillero del Diablo, you can do just that in the stunning amphitheatre that is Fort Canning Park. Celebrating its ninth anniversary, Films At The Fort has delivered a number of blockbusters during August, which continues until August 18.

Films At The Fort presented by Casillero del Diablo offers a unique cinematic experience, with DJs and musicians setting the tone before and after the movie, getting to your place early means you have the chance to catch up with friends in the park, enjoy some food and drink before the movie begins. The gates open at 5pm and the movie starts at dusk (7.45pm) making this more of a night out than simply turning up minutes before the film begins and sitting in a freezing cold room in the dark. The more sociable concept has proved a huge success with many of this year’s movies selling out, including The Hustle, Long Shot and the Shawshank Redemption, to name just a few.

The team behind the event have carefully curated this year’s movies, making sure that there is a wide variety, appealing to every taste. If you haven’t managed to make it to the Fort yet, don’t worry, there is still time, with two more movies still available before the season ends. August 15 Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and August 18 Free Solo. There are still tickets available for both shows, but get yours at the link below now, or they will sell out. Grab your mates, pack a picnic and enjoy an evening in the park, with music from locally based talent such as Stephen Day and a huge screen to enjoy the movie on, going to the cinema will never be the same again.
