Beerfest Asia returns for its ninth edition at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore between August 17 and 20. Sphere Exhibits and United Overseas bank present the widest offering to date with over 100 new beers making a debut, the debut of hands-on workshops, a music line-up spanning more than 30 live acts across different genres and Singapore’s largest outdoor Beer Yoga session.
The location offers a part air-conditioned space with a stunning view of the Singapore Straits, the perfect backdrop for over 500 different selections of beer and cider. Always moving forward and showcasing the best beer around, Beerfest Asia 2017 sees over 100 beers making their debut, including the likes of Krušovice Imperial, Erdinger Sommerweis, Pressure Drop Wu Gang Chops The Tree and Guinness Bright, and many more. Flying the Singapore flag will be homegrown talents such as Archipelago Brewery, The 1925 Brewing Co. and Brewlander & Co will also be on hand with their own respective booths, with innovative creations, some of which are brewed specifically for Beerfest Asia 2017.
Beerfest Asia 2-17 sees a number of firsts, including a daily beer workshop across each of the four days, where brew masters and brand ambassadors will give beer lovers the chance to get behind their favourite labels and gain an understanding the difference between individual beers as well as learning how to brew their own at home. Of course, where there’s beer there is going to be food and once again the event delivers, with an expanded gastronomic experience. There is a carefully chosen list of vendors delivering a vast range of delicious fare, including Handle Bar, Kontiki, The 1925 Brewing Co. and Little Part 1, ensuring that your stomachs are filled with the finest food as you sample some of the world’s best beers.
Beer festivals and sports might not go hand in hand but this year’s Beerfest will feature the largest outdoor Beer Yoga session, led by chief instructor Dawn Sim from Trium Fitness. Incorporating the beer bottle into a flow of yoga poses, it provides a truly unique experience and for those that prefer their sport a little more beer oriented than bottle, there’s a chance to excel at beer pong! Staying on the entertainment front, and true to tradition, there are live tribute bands offering a chance to singalong to 80s heroes such as Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Guns N’ Roses. The Festival stage has been curated by Timbre Group and gives local bands a showcase for their talent and, as the sun sets, some of the finest DJs from the vibrant Singapore scene will deliver a fitting soundtrack, including Brendon P, Haan, KFC, Shigeki, Stephen Day and Zig Zach. All-female DJs from Altra Mgmt will also be spinning a wide selection of crowd favourites that promises to get people off the benches and on to the dancefloor. It’s another huge event, celebrating one of the world’s most popular drinks and tickets are on sale now.
